The publication is an attempt to globalize and ‘de-Westernize’ the academic debate on media accountability. It intends to provide an up-to-date overview on the status quo of media accountability all around the world – and to compare different models of media accountability across all continents. The anthology will include more than 45 country reports from six continents. Judith Pies and Hanan Badr from the Free University Berlin are responsible for editing the part on the MENA-region.
